Tableau Sentence Case

Sentence case is the capitalization of the first words in sentences. Tableau supports both conversions of sentences from upper to lowercase and vice versa – and not conversation to sentence case. In this example, I would like to show you how to convert both upper and lower case to sentence case in Tableau.

Using the data in the table below;

In this sample data, you can convert the column ‘City – L’ to upper case using the calculation below;

While the data in column ‘City –U’ can be converted to lower case as follows;

Both the two columns can be converted to sentence case as follows;

Lower case to Sentence case

Upper case to Sentence case
