Copying Data in Tableau


Sometimes you may need to share the data other than the actual visualization –for users requiring such formats. Meaning in this case, you need a way of copying such data from the visualization itself.

So, how do you copy data from a chart in Tableau?

To demonstrate this, have used Superstores data set to plot State by Profit (a map)

To copy the data on this visualization;

Go to Worksheet >> Copy >> Data

Pasting this data in an excel worksheet, we’ve.

This basically is a representation of the same data in the map but now as a table.
